So it's been mentioned to death, but I'm one of the many users unable to connect to a single online match since the start of this game. I think the finer points have been touched on - it'd be nice for a quick join that queued into the next available game type, it would be nice to queue then to be able to customize ships while we wait, etc. etc.
It seems that once I try and fail to connect to a multiplayer match, it now prevents me from connecting to any single player matches afterwards. This was after an application reset, followed by a console reset. Single player games wouldn't boot anymore. I tried 4 different burn circuit stages and one bot match.
I'm uninstalling and reinstalling the game. If this doesn't work, I'm out of options. The fact that I'm forced to connect to an online system that fails to boot my single player game is rather unforgivable and the lack of any real acknowledgment of tech issues is disconcerting considering the polish that clearly went into the game.
The single player failure to boot wasn't mentioned anywhere else, but it's rendered a game I paid full price for completely unplayable.
Delete / reinstall didn't help. :( Solo still failed to connect. Tested multiplayer in 2 other games just to make sure internet was good and they started instantly and all was well.
Well, I tried. I liked the 28 minutes I was able to spend in burn circuit last month.
your not alone, bought the game a few days ago and could not find a multiplayer game. at least i could play solo. (altough somtimes it used to take forever before success and often had to cancel then re-join to join a solo match_ anyway...just download 1.04 update and now i cant even play solo. still cant see a multiplayer game. oceana region.
the gameplay is actually awesome. i just want to play with people.
Yeah the single player doesn't work without network which is crazy but is what it is...
Last night there was a patch that went live. With the previous patch I know that there were server issues that followed for around an hour or two I believe. I know the community group mentioned they were having issues getting into single player at the time OP was made. I downloaded the patch about two hours ago, and had no issues at all getting into burn circuit (single player). Try it today...but if you still haven't been able to get into ANY single player then yeah that would def be a serious issue. I'm guessing not a lot of people have got the patch yet as quick match I moved on from after only about 20-30 seconds waiting. I'll try more multiplayer tonight, but single player connected fast this morning (got success message in a split second), each and every time (played about 7 matches).
Right on - I'll give it a shot (hadn't checked back in a few) and see if I can get in.
Thanks for letting me know - after well over an hour of connection attempts / test cases, I was pretty heated the other night. I'll give it a shot today and hope for the best - maybe I can find a multiplayer game? looks around, pleading, hoping people are queued
Glad to know you were able to get into single player again swero...if you haven't yet, might want to check out the starblood arena community on ps4. There's over 400 members on it, and events are made for parties which has made multiplayer a lot easier to get into. I get most of my info from there, fb groups/pages playstation vr owners, whitemoon dreams, reddit psvr and finally here.
So this post seams to be from months ago but i'm having the same issue now. I can play other games, watch videos and listen to music but for some reason I can't get into a match or even play single player. Is it a common bug, is there a fix and if so how do i do it lol. Really enjoying the game just wish I could play.
