FAQs

Game FAQs

  1. Do I need PS VR to play StarBlood Arena? StarBlood Arena was designed exclusively for PS VR, so yes – it requires PS VR to play. Is StarBlood Arena available in stores?

Yes! You can pick up a copy of StarBlood Arena in participating retail locations or digitally through the PlayStation Store.

  2. I hear people calling this game a “6 Degrees of Freedom” shooter. What does that mean?

That’s a fancy way of saying you’re free to move around the map in all directions – up, down, left, right, forward and backward with pitch, yaw and roll.

  3. Can I damage other ships or my own by smashing into them?

Most of the time, no. In general, ships will not cause damage through that type of collision – unless you’re playing as Blade the assassin! He deploys a melee move called Wing Blades which is a lunging attack. In that case, yes you may crash into ships and damage them, otherwise – use your guns! I’m out of ammo!

  4. Do I need to pick more up?

Your ammo will regenerate on its own – so keep shooting and know when to retreat! There are also supply drops and other game conditions which will allow you to pick up additional munitions.

  5. What are BloodBux?

BloodBux is the currency of StarBlood Arena! You can use your hard earned space loot to purchase ship upgrades and customizations.

  6. Can I play with friends?

Absolutely! There are several fun multiplayer and co-op modes and the PlayStation party system makes connecting with your friends quick and easy!

  7. I changed my mind, I want to play alone. Can I?

Of course! Modes like Burn Circuit, Skirmish and Invaders make it easy to play at your own pace, solo!

  8. Can I use a peripheral flight stick to pilot my ship?

Yes, we currently support the T.Flight Hotas 4 joystick

Issues and Feedback

  1. How do I post an issue?

If you've run into the issue, please first take a look at the Bug Reports section to see if a similar issue has been reported and replied to.

  2. How else can I get support?

Please send your concerns to support_sandiegostudio@playstation.sony.com.

  3. Is it safe to stand or walk around while playing StarBlood Arena?

Please don’t! You’re definitely going to want to sit and not stand while playing with the headset on. We don’t want you falling into an interstellar abyss, but we do want you to be comfy, so take a seat and have fun!
